CRIPE & GRAHAM, P.C. was founded in 1993 by Gary E. Cripe and Catherine M. Graham, husband and wife, at its current location nestled in the foothills of Upland, California. Both Gary and Catherine had been mentored by renowned trial lawyer, Herb Hafif. Later, Gary helped open the Los Angeles office of Kaye, Scholer, Fierman, Hays & Handler, a large national law firm with offices worldwide and many Fortune 500 companies as clients. Although a litigation partner at Kaye Scholer, Gary became weary of commuting from Upland to Century City. He and Catherine decided to open CRIPE & GRAHAM in Upland. This change allowed him to spend less time commuting and more time with their young family, and serving the legal needs of clients. Gary and Catherine both worked with Ai Woodward, of Counsel, at the Law Office of Herbert Hafif. They litigated many of the firm’s major, complex litigation matters. In 2012 CRIPE & GRAHAM opened a new office in the Coachella Valley to serve clients in Palm Springs, Cathedral City, Rancho Mirage, La Quinta, Indio, Coachella and Desert Hot Springs.
CRIPE & GRAHAM has extensive federal and state court litigation experience including mediations, arbitrations and trials involving business torts, contractual disputes, personal injury, toxic torts, products liability, insurance bad faith, medical malpractice, defamation, banking, real estate and computer technology. CRIPE & GRAHAM has also specialized in representing small to medium size entrepreneurs and corporations as outside general counsel, including American Furniture Alliance; Cap It, LLC; Cool Tube, Inc.; Elite Products; General Health, LLC; Maruhachi Ceramics of America; MCD Lighting, LLC; Nature’s Recipe Pet Foods; Pappas Telecasting Companies, and; The Tenet Shareholder Committee.
